After working nonstop for weeks, Hector and I decided that it was time to unplug and took an impromptu trip to the West Coast. Although we don’t gamble, our bodies cannot tolerate more than two drinks per day, and we are not party animals, we are regular to Vegas (this is our 8th time!). Why? Because Nevada and nearby States have so much to offer. Yes, we are attracted to the “vibe” around the Strip (people-watching alone is FUN!), but we also love the fact that we can rent a car and enjoy completely different experiences! Also, we’ve lived in the Caribbean and Florida most of our lives, therefore, we find the desert beautiful, amusing, and fun
. We’ve already done just about everything you can think of in Vegas: attractions, shows, race cars, horseback riding, and then some. We also like to drive to California for a day since it’s nearby. So, what else can we do? Well, we decided to take a drive to Zion National State Park in Utah.

Coming from the airport heading to the Hotel, the first thing we see – a sunset wedding at the Vegas sign! We had to stop and take photos – we just had to. Here is Hector posing in front of the couple probably thinking – I am here on vacation – not shooting this one!

Th next day we arrived to Vegas, we decided to drive up to Zion National Park. During our drive we came across this lovely artistic sculpture. LOL!

I felt in love with this place. So much so that I want to back and stay THERE instead!

What do you think of my lovely Tiffany blue toe nails?![]()

These mountains are magnificent! Gotta go back!

On our third day in Vegas, we drove to California. We love to drive from Vegas to Los Angeles, and have done so at least three or four times. We decided to do the “touristy” thing for a change, and took a guided tour of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. We are so glad we did! This is the place where the Hollywood’s movie premiers are held. Everyone who is anyone has been here. Scenes from recent movies where shot here too. This 20′s building is glamorous, beautiful, spectacular, and full of interesting history!

This is the “powder room”. We were told Marylin Monroe used to get ready here before her movie premier.

Can you can see the Hollywood sign behind me? It’s all the way up there on top of the mountain – LOL. After our brief Hollywood stay, we decided to go where locals go for lunch: Pink’s!

After lunch we wanted to stop at the beach (of course), before driving back to Vegas. This photo was taken at a beach near Huntington Beach. Southern California beaches have definitely spectacular views and very different vibe. No offense, but I think Florida beaches are the prettiest; and you know we KNOW beaches
We have the Caribbean accent and the super dark tanned skin (thanks to all the beach weddings) to prove it!

This time I brought a little tripod because we never have pictures of the two of us together!

It was windy and chilly at the beach. It felt good just to sit there and do nothing for a little while![]()

After our day trip to California, we headed back to Vegas. The next day, we drove around Vegas looking for art galleries and unique shops hoping to find something unique for our studio. I did find some unique outfits for my boudoir shoots
. Before the day ended, we drove Downtown, had a couple of frozen Margaritas (bad idea – headache!), watched a live rock concert, and finally had those deep fried Twinkies we always forget to check on
.
